Requirements
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on development experience, the ability to understand complex legacy code, and should be capable of delivering enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests with minimal supervision.
Application Development Design, code, and test modules using RPG, RPGLE, CLP, and embedded SQL on the AS400 platform.
Enhancement & Change Requests
Work on business-driven application enhancements, scope analysis, and effort estimation.
Legacy Code Maintenance Analyze and debug legacy RPG/CL code and rewrite or modernize as required.
Database Interactions Query and manipulate DB2/400 data structures, perform file-level changes, and write embedded SQL logic.
Change Management (ALDON)
Use ALDON (or equivalent) for version control, impact analysis, and promotion of code to higher environments.
Unit Testing & Defect Fixing
Perform unit and integration testing; fix bugs and regression issues identified during QA/UAT.
Documentation Update technical specs, program flowcharts, and process documentation.
Collaboration & Peer Review
Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and L3 support for defect triage and testing assistance.

We are looking for a skilled AS400 Developer to maintain, enhance, and modernize business-critical applications developed on the IBM i (AS400) platform using RPG, RPGLE, CL, and managed through ALDON (or equivalent change management tools).
